Welcome to Australian Caravanning.

I created Australian Caravanning to build a place where everyday Australians can find practical, easy-to-understand information about caravanning.

Whether you’re thinking about buying your first caravan, learning how to tow, setting up at a caravan park, planning a trip, or simply trying to make caravan life easier, that’s what Australian Caravanning is here to help with.

I’m not here to pretend I know everything. I’m learning too, and that’s an important part of what Australian Caravanning is all about.

Why I Started Australian Caravanning

Getting into caravanning can be exciting, but it can also be confusing.

There are caravan weights, towing capacities, equipment, electrical systems, water systems, maintenance, insurance, campsite setup, trip planning and plenty of things you don’t necessarily know when you’re starting out.

I wanted Australian Caravanning to make that information easier to understand.

No complicated jargon. No pretending everything is easy. Just practical information to help you become a more confident caravanner.

I’m Learning Too

One of the things I want Australian Caravanning to be is honest.

I’m not a professional caravan instructor, mechanic or industry expert. I’m a caravanning enthusiast who is learning, researching and sharing what I discover along the way.

That means I’ll also talk about mistakes, lessons and things I wish I had known earlier.

Because sometimes the best way to learn is by sharing what you’ve discovered with someone else.
